It operates in the following PC environments and configurations:

Microsoft Windows^® 98, Microsoft Windows® 2000, Microsoft Windows^® XP
Pentium® 233 MHz or higher, hard disk with 10 MB available, 32 MB RAM 256 color, 640 x 480 pixels or higher definition monitor

Connection from PC to Advantage 21

The PCSoft software workshop must be connected directly to the Modbus port on the drive using the PC serial port connection kit VW3A8106. This connection kit requires a 9-pin RS232 serial port on the PC.
If your PC does not include standard 9-pin RS232 serial port use a USB to Serial Port adapter.
PCSoft works best with the standard Modbus connection on the Advantage 21. For BACnet, Metasys N2, LonWorks or Apogee FLN P1 use PCSoft software with the standard Modbus connection to configure the drive. Then replace the Modbus card with the optional network adapter.
